1. Florida Update

I’ve brought nine horses down for the Florida season this year.  We have a super mix of youngsters, FEI horses and sales horses.  We have two very special sales horses that can be viewed on the “Sales” page- Delinda, a 5-year-old Oldenburg mare, and Raison de Joie, a 10-year-old American Warmblood gelding.  Please check out the sales page for more information.

I’ve made a lot of updates to the Liz Austin Dressage page on Facebook.  Please be sure to “like” us on there for tons of photos, videos and updates!

Also, I’ve been asked to blog for HorseHero. My first blog has been published and was a big hit.  For those of you that have been following me for for a long time know I’m terrible about updates.  With HorseHero I have a deadline! So look for new updates each month on there.  www.horsehero.com

  2. Lendon Gray Clinic

We are very excited to have Lendon Gray coming up for a two-day clinic November 18th and 19th (Friday and Saturday).  Please inquire if you are interested in riding as we have one or two slots available after a few of our riders have scheduling conflicts.  We also are hoping to have a very good turnout as far as auditors are concerned- it’s $10/day to audit and we kindly ask you to bring your own chairs.  Fizzy (Olivier), Gogo (Harmony’s Galant), Copland, Coltrane, Hero (Hierarch) and my mom’s stallion Barquito (he’s a super cool PRE) are all doing the clinic so lots to look forward to!!  I also know for sure of a Fabuleux daughter, a Coco Cavalli daughter, an Olivier daughter and a few other very good FEI horses that are coming to the clinic as well.  We can’t wait!

Lendon Gray Clinic Flyer- please feel free to post at your barn or e-mail a link to friends that may be interested in coming.  Thank you and hope to see some of you!

  3. My First Update!

Hello!  I’ve finally found a few minutes to sit down and update my website… finally!  I want to thank Grey Horse Interactive so much for designing my site and making it easy enough for me to update on my own, however seldom that may be!  We are working on updating my list of sponsors which takes some time because we need to organize logos, rearrange my home page, etc., but for now I’d like to welcome new sponsors for 2011, as well as give a HUGE thanks to my other sponsors- many of whom have been supporting me for some time now!

    New Sponsors in 2011

FITS Riding Apparel- Mollie at FITS contacted me earlier this spring about sponsorship.  I was honest and told her I had never ridden in the breeches and she sent me some to try.  Being a total “Pikeur” and “Golden Dress” girl I was a bit aprehensive, but I LOVE THESE BREECHES!  They are lightweight, comfortable and give a great feel.  They also have beautiful show shirts, show breeches and lots of other fun items!

County Saddlery- Anyone that has been following my career with Fizzy knows how difficult he is to fit a saddle to.  He has enormous shoulders and as a result not so much in the withers department, so pretty much anything and everything slides forward on him.  I tried him in a friend’s County and LOVED the feeling and began working with them in the fall of 2010.  I’ve had absolutely remarkable results with some of my horses since switching them to County’s and my favorite part is that I’ve finally found a saddle that puts me close to the horse (i.e. not a ton of padding everywhere!) but still has enough to it that I don’t feel like I’m lost in a very flat saddle.  Besides, if it’s good enough for Totilas, it’s good enough for Fizzy!

ICU Trailer Cameras, LLC- Horse TV!  I’ve had my wireless camera system in my trailer since April and it has been so nice for shipping.  Since I spend a lot of time shipping valuable horses, naughty stallions, young horses and going on 1500 mile road trips, having a camera in the back to see who’s doing what is extremely important.  I honestly don’t know how I shipped before… well, actually I do.  I would feel something, pull over, check on everyone, be stared at by all the horses like I was crazy for stopping, and continue on my way.  However, on the off chance that something does go wrong, it’s wonderful to be able to see everything.  Shipping horses is scary enough.  Being able to keep an eye on them makes it a little easier.
